Watershed Organizations usually focus on improving a particular stream. The condition of streams and greenspace is inter-twined, one affecting the other. Where stream corridors retain trees and natural vegetation, costs are lowered for flood control and flood damage, sediment removal, erosion control, water and wastewater treatment, and restoration, and the stream can provide for groundwater recharge, wildlife and aquatic habitat, and sport and recreation opportunity.
