ITS Architecture and Strategic Plan Update In March 2008, OKI completed the process of updating the Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architecture and the ITS Strategic Plan. The update was necessary to maintain conformance with the National ITS Architecture and ensure that future ITS related projects are eligible for federal funding. ITS encompass a broad range of wireless and wire line communications-based information and electronics technologies. When integrated into the transportation system's infrastructure, these technologies relieve congestion, improve safety and enhance our region’s productivity. Periodic maintenance of the ITS Architecture and Strategic Plan will occur concurrently with updates to the OKI Regional Transportation Plan. OKI ITS Architecture Website:
